FAQs - KEYPORT SLIDE
How big is the Keyport Slide?
The Slide's dimensions are 2.875" x 1.210" x 0.580", making it only slightly larger than a box of Tic Tacs.
How much does the Keyport Slide weigh?
Together with a full set of Blades, the Keyport weighs approximately 2.1 ounces. Without the Blades, the Slide weighs .9 ounces.
How is it possible that the Keyport Slide with six Blades weighs less than six standard keys?
A significant portion of the weight of a key is in its head. Removing the metal head, Keyport installs its own significantly smaller and lighter plastic head. Multiplied by six keys, the resulting weight difference is more than the overall weight of the Slide.
Can the Keyport Slide damage my locks?
No. Keyport Blades function the same way as traditional keys do. At the same time, the Slide does provide its user with the ability to add significant additional torque in turning a key, so please use good judgment in the appropriate application of force.
How do I know which key is which in the Keyport Slide?
Keyport has designed colored identifiers on each Node allowing you to easily identify each key separately. In addition, the location of each Blade remains constant so it does not take long to memorize where each of your keys are positioned in the Keyport.
Is it possible to replace individual keys once they are in the Keyport Slide?
Yes. Blades are easily inserted into and removed from the Slide. For more information, please refer to our Step-By-Step Guide on inserting and removing Blades.

How do I remove the end cap to insert and/or remove Blades?
Per the user instructions accompanying your Slide:

2. Take off the End Cap by pressing either of the small rectangular cut-outs located on either side of it.
